If you were like any other player having played Pokemon GO, you would know that the Legendary Pokemon have yet to be released into the game. However, for one lucky player, this is no longer true. That's right! This player - with the Pokemon GO Username of kaitcovey - actually has already captured an Articuno. Well... Actually... It was given to her by Niantic themselves...
It appears that Niantic gifted this lucky trainer with the mascot of Team Mystic, one of the Legendary Bird Trio itself after receiving a few complaints from the trainer for server issues. However, since this has become known to Pokemon Community, Niantic has since removed Articuno once again to keep to the fairness and integrity of the game. Whether this means said trainer had their Legend taken away from them as a whole or if it's just banned from being placed in a Pokemon Gym remains to be known.
No matter their quick actions to restore order, many trainers are outraged by Niantic's loving actions towards this one trainer. Every single player of Pokemon GO at one time or another has experienced some sort of issue with game play, perhaps a number of times for most fans if they downloaded the game once it hit the market place.
