Pokemon GO: Play in Lanscape mode

Get some news about upcoming video games
If you want to try playing Pokemon Go in another angle, you can force the game to play in landscape mode - playing horizontally instead of vertically. To enable this, you need to make sure you are holding the phone horizontally, before you start the following steps.
From the main map screen, tap the menu icon at the bottom to bring up the list of options, and tap on the Settings button at the top.
In the Settings screen, scroll down to “Report High-Priority Issue”. It will ask if you are sure you wish to proceed out of the game. Hit yes. Don’t worry, you won’t actually be reporting anything.

The game will open up the internet to load the page for reporting issues. Don’t wait for the page to load, and tap the home screen to return to your iPhone’s main screen. You should still be holding the phone horizontally.
Now, from the home screen, tap on the Pokemon Go App again. If all goes well, the page will stop loading and return to the setting menu - only this time the aspect ratio of the game will change to fit the landscape mode! Exit the setting to see the world in a much wider view!

Of course, this game doesn’t have an easy way to play the game in this mode for a reason. While the map looks great, you may run into some odd glitches and weird scaling in other menus, PokeStops, and especially catching pokemon and gym battles.

Gym screens may have trouble showing your list of pokemon correctly, though the battles themselves still work well.

As for wild pokemon - with the game struggling to show a different view, pokemon may be harder - or even impossible to catch if the camera zooms past them. AR mode will also make things different, but if you’re lucky, you may be able to orient yourself very close to a pokemon for an easy catch. Depending on these factors, pokemon may be easier or harder to catch, so use this mode at your own risk.

Of course, if you grow tired of this new format, simply quit the game and restart to change it back to its normal vertical format.

How To Become a Gym Leader in Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go is the popular game of mobile and have more about game on PC in here. You can click and get some of new games coming out
If your Pokemon are up to the task, you can then begin battling the defending trainers one by one (from lowest CP to highest CP) and kicking them out of the gym with each victory. Check back for a future game guide about how the combat system shakes out. As each trainer is ejected, the gym’s prestige level is reduced slightly. Once the gym is cleared out of trainers to battle, you’ll be kicked out as well. Continue returning to the gym and the Prestige level will eventually drain down to zero and the gym will appear grey (unclaimed) on the map. At this point, you’ll be able to claim the gym and leave one of your powerful Pokemon behind to protect it while you’re not around (similar to resonators in Ingress). Other trainers on your team will be able to come by and leave Pokemon as well to increase the Prestige level and help protect the territory.
Keep in mind that this gym is now a target for members of the opposing teams. Checking back and seeing how the gym is holding up is another agenda item to add to your rotation of tasks in Pokemon Go. Don’t be surprised if stealing gyms is very difficult for you at the game’s lower levels, but it will become a valuable skill and a great way to earn experience once your Pokemon are strong enough and up to the task.

Good luck out there, trainers!

How To Use The New Sightings Tool in Pokemon GO

Get some news and reviews and the latest Pokemon GO patch replaced the Nearby tracking tool with a new tool called Sightings. Here is how to use it to attempt to find the Pokemon near you.

Pokemon GO got off to an amazing start, but some broken features and a lot of silence from the developers at Niantic left the community unsure about the future of the game. The company eventually released a statement about the removal of the step-based tracking tool, but many fans thought it was too little too late. A new Pokemon GO patch makes some major improvements to the Nearby tool, and renames it the Sightings tool, and attempts to get back on the good side of the community.

The new tool replaces the old one, two, or three prints with grass behind Pokemon that are nearby. Unfortunately, there still isn’t a way to track Pokemon the way that players could during the game’s first two weeks. That said, this patch is still an improvement over the three step bug or the changes that replaced them.

There are two major changes that arrive with this update. The first is that the Nearby/Sightings list now accurately represents the Pokemon that are near the player. Sightings apparently are limited to 200 meters (or 700 feet). For the last few weeks, the Nearby tool was completely unreliable and there was no way to know if the Pokemon were actually there or not. It is now safe to trust the tool. The map refreshes roughly every 10 seconds and Pokemon that have despawned will be removed from the list.

The other major change is that Pokemon are now grouped together. That means that if there are four Weedles nearby, the group will only take up one spot on the nine space grid. This also means that the Pokemon in the top left corner is not necessarily the closest Pokemon to the player. For now, there is no way to know which Pokemon are closest.

This is certainly not a longterm replacement for the original tracking tool, but the new Sightings option is a step in the right direction. We’ll keep an eye on the feature over the next few weeks and update as it is improved.

CHEATING AT POKEMON GO WILL GET YOU BE BANNED

Watch some of video game reviews and read the post about cheating on Pokemon Go
Trying to fool Pokemon Go into thinking you're somewhere you not (known as GPS spoofing) appears to get you banned from the game for around an hour - and the way the game does this is kind of brilliant.

Some noble and not-so noble test subjects on Reddit report that, rather than simply locking you out of the game, Pokemon Go turns cheaters' worlds into cold and lonely places.

Pokestops won't sell you items, Gyms won't let you battle and wild Pokemon, perhaps sensing that their potential new master is purest evil, always run away from you.

Reports on how long bans last have varied from minutes to several hours, but an hour seems to be most common. Some have theorised that there's a formula that calculates the length of bans depending on how far away you've "moved", but for now the process remains pretty opaque.

Some rural users have taken to spoofing simply because there isn't enough Pokemon Go-odness in their respective areas, but Niantic would clearly prefer this didn't happen. A petition has been set up to let players suggest new locations for Pokestops and Gyms to combat the problem.

Pokemon Go's bans are significantly less harsh than some - The Division,Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch have all taken the policy of banning cheaters on first offence in recent months.

Pokemon GO Rares Should Be Banned from Schools in French

Get some news and review

The French education minister calls for rare Pokemon GO creatures to be banned in schools, suggesting that they could attract non-students who pose a threat.

While Pokémon GO may offer plenty of fun for players who want to put together a troop of Rattatas or an entire patrol of Pidgeys, for many, the aim of the hugely popular augmented-reality game is to catch ‘em all, rare Pokemon included. Some of the rarest finds in the game include Pinsir, Lickitung and Machop with players resorting to Pokemon GO rare catching guides and hoping that they’ll stumble upon the rare creatures and complete their collections. But unfortunately for those who play the game in France, catching rare Pokemon may be about to get that much harder.

Evidently, France’s education minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem wants rare Pokemon to be banned from the country’s schools. Vallud-Beklacem says that she intends to meet with Niantic, the developer of Pokemon GO, in order to discuss the potential dangers that having rare Pokemon in schools could lead to. The minister plans to explain that the augmented-reality game could lead to non-students going into schools, posing a security risk to students, if they feel that there’s a chance to capture one of the rarely seen virtual creatures.
While many French students will be disappointed with Vallaud-Belkacem’s attempts to ban rare Pokemon from their schools, many will point out how the appearance of rare Pokemon has actually posed a risk to players and non-players alike. For example, a rare Pokemon appearance caused a stampede in Central Park, with thousands flocking to the New York City location in order to capture a Vaporeon. A recent incident also saw thousands of Pokemon GO players in Taiwan gather just to catch a Snorlax. Not only could a similar thing be incredibly distracting for students, but, as the education minister noted, it could also be dangerous.

At this point, Niantic has not commented on Vallaud-Belkacem’s concerns, though it should be noted that Niantic previously stated that it would be more careful with Pokemon GO gym and Pokestop placement in future to avoid putting the locations in places such as war memorials. Moreover, the mayor of a small town in France also called for Pokemon GO to be banned from the town entirely, so perhaps the growing concerns in the country regarding the mobile game may force Niantic’s hand and lead the company to put these bans and rare Pokemon removals in place.

Classic Pokémon Starters Reimagined by Alola Forms

Get some news and reviews
If there are two universal truths, they're this: 1. Everyone loves Pokémon; 2. Everyone loves fan art.

We've seen tons of fantastic Pokémon fan art through the years and the internet doesn't seem to ever want to stop gobbling it up. We've seensuper creepy realistic Pokémon, fan-made custom Pokémon starters, and already we've even caught a good glimpse of the Pokémon Sun & Moonstarter fan art tributes.

So, it's easy to see why we love these type-swapped Gen 1 starter imaginations from Redditor Frank Sullivan (u/ill_be_Frank_wit_you). I asked Sullivan about his inspiration, and he mentioned drawing direct inspiration from Pokémon Sun and Moon's exciting new Alola forms, which type-swap older
Gen 1 Pokémon:

I got the ideas for my type swapped Pokemon from the Alolan ice Pokémon forms of Sandshrew and Vulpix and I thought about which other Gen 1 Pokémon would be cool to see with other types. So I started working on the starters and it kind of blew up from there.

Stage One Evolutions

Fire type Bulbasaur, Water type Charmander, Grass type Squirtle

Stage Two Evolutions

Fire type Ivyasaur, Water type Charmleon, Grass type Wartortle

Stage 3 Evolutions

Fire type Venusaur, Water type Charizard, Grass type Blastoise

When talking about his ideas, Sullivan mentioned that he was excited to give other generations of starters, but he's not quite willing to spoil his ideas for us yet. Although, we've certainly got our own wishlist for Alola form Pokémon with fresh new types...
I'll keep my ideas for the future starters to myself since a lot of people have started to draw type swapped starters. But I will say once I finish all the starters I'll probably do Magikarp and Gyarados first!

You can catch Sullivan's work and future type-swapped Pokémon on Reddit's r/Pokemon and on his Instagram account@ill_be_frank_with_you. As of this writing, he's already started on the gen 2 starters!
